During Holy Week, the parking meter system in Mexico City continues to operate, although the hours have been modified in some areas of the capital. The main objective of this system, known as ecoParq and regulated by the Mobility Secretariat, is to ensure the availability of parking spaces on the streets, preventing the invasion of street vendors.
Amid doubts raised by drivers in Mexico City, ecoParq has communicated the changes in operating hours for these festive days. Users have been urged to make the corresponding payment to avoid fines during this holiday period.
"The ecoParq program operates normally during this Holy Week. Avoid penalties and pay your parking meter as usual," the relevant authorities reported.
The operating hours of the parking meter system for Friday, April 18, in various areas of Mexico City are as follows:
- Polanco: Extended hours from Wednesday to Saturday, from 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM the following day. - Anzures and Lomas de Chapultepec: Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. - Nápoles, Nápoles Extension, Insurgentes San Borja, and Ciudad de los Deportes: Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. - Florida and Guadalupe Inn: Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. - Roma-Hipódromo: Thursday to Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 AM the following day. - San José Insurgentes, Insurgentes Mixcoac, Noche Buena, Crédito Constructor, and Extremadura Insurgentes: Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Drivers are advised to check the operating hours in each area where the parking meters are located and to make the respective payment to avoid infractions.
